The neighborhood

Cooking in Katy

Katy has grown faster than almost anywhere in Texas, and most of the kitchens Chef Fassi works in here are new, large and built around an island. That is close to ideal for in-home cooking — room to run a proper station and space for guests to stand nearby without being in the way.

The bookings are mostly celebratory and mostly family: milestone birthdays, graduations, holiday tables and the occasional dinner party where neighbors who all moved in around the same time now entertain each other.

The Energy Corridor brings a second strand of work — executive dinners and dinners for visiting colleagues, often with international guests and a brief to show them something genuinely Texan without it becoming a theme.

FAQ

Private chef in Katy — questions

Is Katy too far for a private chef?

No. It is a planned drive rather than an obstacle, and the sourcing happens before the drive so nothing arrives tired.

Do you cook for corporate dinners in the Energy Corridor?

Yes — executive dinners and dinners for visiting colleagues are a steady part of the work out here.

Can you handle thirty guests in a home?

Yes, with serving staff added. Most newer Katy homes have the kitchen and the space to support it.

“Everything felt thoughtful, personal, and beautifully executed. The food was outstanding, and our guests are still talking about the evening.”
