Montrose eats more adventurously than almost anywhere else in Houston, and the menus written for it show that. Guests here are generally happy to be surprised, which makes it one of the more enjoyable parts of the city to cook for.
Spaces are smaller — townhomes, converted bungalows, condos — so the counts tend to run six to twelve and the service is usually relaxed rather than formal. Courses still arrive plated; nobody is standing on ceremony about it.
